I have always been a visual learner. Intrigued by designs, textures, colors, the way things work, move, & come together in any given visual plane, natural or man-made. To create has always been my desire. Be it textiles, photography, cards, woodworking, home interiors, and most recently, painting.
My passion for photography was fueled at an early age, by a Christmas gift from my parents of a set of used photography equipment. This passion carried me into college where, in 1986 I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
I went on to work in Manhattan as the Director of several collections for two Photo Agencies. Inspired and awed every day, by the work coming across my light box. After the birth of my children, I began hand-tinting some of my b&w images. And upon the arrival of the world of digital imagery, played with enhancing them further.
Relatively new to the world of painting, much of my work is influenced by the pastoral surroundings of my childhood in Hopewell, NJ, and the Delaware River region, as well as by the many talented Bucks County artists that reside in this area.
